Research outline
We focus on image sensors and related technologies. Our research involves in material science and engineering for device fabrication, radiation sensing and vacuum electronics.
Development of an image sensor for harsh environment
In this study, image sensors having high radiation tolerance and high operation temperature are being developed as monitoring tools for nuclear reactors and space telecommunications.
Development of high-sensitivity radiation imaging sensors
Radiation imaging sensors using wide-gap materials are fabricated and characterized in order to improve their efficiency. Cooperating with Prof. Aoki’s Lab.
Development of electron-beam source for THz light generator
We are interested in electron-beam devices for THz light generation and optical/thermal power conversion. Photocathodes and Field emitters are being investigated for high modulation frequency and high emission current.
