2021.01.14Landslide Monitoring Project with Precise GNSS Positioning by Prof. Kitani
NEWS DETAIL
Prof. Tomoya Kitani and his student, Takuma Usami are dedicating to develop a landslide monitoring system with precise GNSS positioning in Tenryu, Hamamatsu.
The current progress of the project appears in Shizuoka Shimbun on Jan. 12.
Prof. Kitani's laboratory has built a precise positioning environment in Hamamatsu city with broadcasting a GNSS correction data from Shizuoka University since 2017.

With the precise positioning with GNSS, they try to catch predictive information of a landslide and new knowledge about the mechanism of the landslide from the measured data in a broad area.
This project is supported by the Division of Digital-Smart-City, Hamamatsu City Office as a part of Hamamatsu ORI Project.
