Development of practical method
Conducting field research in companies, hospitals, etc., we aim to develop practical methods that lead to product development, business development, etc.
Our study focuses on the knowledge in practice that practitioners generate in the practical field. Then, from the perspective of organizational learning theory and organizational transformation theory, we will clarify how such knowledge in practice is generated, transformed, and formed in the practical field.
We apply the developed practical methods to various practical fields to verify the effectiveness and limitations of the developed practical methods. In the case of practical fields where the practical methods cannot be fully applied, we improve the practical methods to adapt them to the practical field. As a result, we attempt to extend the theory of practical methods.
We propose the ACDP cycle as the practical method for facilitating product development in the practical field. ACDP cycle differs from the PDCA cycle, which starts with a plan. First, the ACDP cycle is a concept in which practitioners start with Action to create Practice or Production. The ACDP cycle consists of ACDP Cycle 1 and ACDP Cycle 2, where the ACDP Cycle 1 is intended to create Practice for product development in the early stages when the concept has not been decided. The ACDP Cycle 2 model is intended to create a new prototype or product (Production) at a stage when the direction of development has been established to a certain extent.
Co-creation emerging
To emerge innovation, it is considered important to build new industry-academia collaborations that co-create value. To realize such a society, the practical methods for co-creation emerging are required in the practical field.
Through fields research, we clarify the process of co-creation emerging in the practical fields. We also aim to develop practical methods for co-creation emerging in the practical fields. creating co-creation in practice.
To promote regional Digital Transformation (DX)
To promote DX, it is essential to dig out the practical knowledge buried in the practical fields. From the perspectives of organizational learning theory, organizational transformation theory, and knowledge management theory, we clarify the process of practical practice and dig out knowledge in practice. Then, based on the result of the fields research, we will examine the use of IT systems and promote DX in the practical fields. We will also collaborate with regional companies and conduct fields research that will lead to the promotion of regional DX.
