We have promoted the development of numerical and education systems that combine mathematics and e-learning (online learning) and their related research. Sometimes we create tools for mathematics education, and e-learning applications for language education such as English and Japanese. One of the keywords of e-Learning is learning history. We attempt to make full use of mathematics to transform the various data left behind by learners into information. We also conduct research on mathematics (numerical analysis) and e-Learning alone. Examples of research topics include:
●Web application development that contributes to mathematics education and formula search
We are thinking of ways to search and classify mathematical data on computers, or extract additional information. Numerical formulas are ambiguous, written in inconsistent ways depending on the field or region, and can be difficult to handle. When learning mathematics, you also need to learn how to show the process of deriving theorems and how to transform mathematical formulas.

●Web application development that contributes to language education and learning including English
We are developing educational and learning support tools that are useful for learning and teaching English, Japanese, etc. For example, a tool that uses history information such as mouse trajectory information to predict whether someone is confused when answering an English word re-ordering problem, a tool that supports the creation of technical English documents by extracting similar English sentences, and an automatic Japanese example sentence compliant with CEFR. Examples include classification methods.

●Numerical analysis such as infinite matrix eigenvalue problems and solutions of differential equation
In particular, we focus on the zeros of special functions (many of which cannot be expressed by elementary functions) and eigenvalue problems of differential equations, and investigate the relationship with infinite matrix eigenvalue problems.

Educational / Numerical Systems Laboratory
Mathematics and e-learning are well combined, which is what Educational / Numerical Systems Laboratory is all about.
